Black and white photography is about contrast with me. Sure I like nice grays in an image but certainly not too much. I need whites and blacks. Recently I lucked into a stash of perforated 35mm Fomamures microfilm and set to shooting it in a Leica IIIc. Let me tell you the story and show you the shots.

Home-restored 5×7 inch camera from a century ago. Gave it a modern Super Cambo back and a new front lens board for interchangeable lenses. The green bellows are original to the camera. It is ready for another century of shooting now.

My son Jonah is in that sweater. This was summer 2013. Film was Rollei Retro 100, in a Leica III.
Sometimes you just see a good shot happening right in front of you when you turn around in a supermarket parking lot.
Toen De Kolk geen theater meer was (2006)
Theater De Kolk in Assen sloot zijn deuren (in afwachting van sloop en nieuwbouw) op 31 januari 2006.
Op 1 februari meldde ik mij om 10 uur bij de ingang van het (voormalig) theater om foto’s van het interieur te maken, nu alle lichten aan waren. Desondanks had ik een paar flitsers meegenomen.
